Self-esteem is the extent to which a person believes that he is a worthy and deserving individual. It denotes the extent to which he consistently regards himself as being capable to make the things happen. It is a kind of confidence that a person has in him. If a person has high self-esteem, he feels that he can make things happen while the person having low self-esteem develops a feeling that he cannot make the things happen. In fact, this is the major difference between high and low achievers. People with high self-esteem feels that they are competent, confident, I control, worthy, useful, productive, winner, respected, important, proactive, desirable and purposeful.
